XAKT is an open anime editing community where anyone can be present, share edits, and follow the work of other editors. The community itself is open to everyone. However, being recognized as an official XAKT member is a separate process.
How It Works
Anyone can be part of the XAKT community space. Editors can post their work, interact with others, and improve their skills over time. From this wider community, some editors are accepted as official members based on the quality and consistency of their edits.
Membership
Editors who want to become members can submit an application form along with their edits. The team reviews these submissions and looks at factors such as timing, scene flow, editing technique, and overall coherence. If the edits meet the expected level, the editor is accepted as a member.
Being a member mainly means:
- Permission to use the official XAKT logo in their edits
- Eligibility to participate in multi-editor projects (MEPs)
- Being listed as part of the core member group
This is not about exclusivity, but about keeping a consistent standard for projects that carry the XAKT name.
Community vs Member
The community is open and includes everyone who follows or shares edits within XAKT. Members are simply editors who have applied and been accepted after review. Both groups exist together: the open community encourages growth, while the member group handles projects and uses the official branding.
Multi Editor Projects
XAKT organizes multi-editor projects where several accepted members collaborate on a single themed edit. These projects are meant to showcase different styles working together in one piece.
Purpose
The goal of XAKT is to provide a shared space for anime editors while also maintaining a small group of reviewed members who can represent the community in collaborative projects and branded edits.
Anyone can join the community.
Members are those who apply and are accepted after review.
